Hi guys, I wanna apologize for this next entry, I'm really tired though because of last night! And you're gonna want to hear why...
If you're in the know like me (or just looked up at the sky at all), then you’d know that it was a full moon last night- and what comes out during a full moon? Well... werewolves, obviously!! I have a track record for making bad decisions, I'll admit- because this time, I went alone. We have a local park that bleeds into the woods, and I thought that would be the perfect place to be on the lookout for werewolves... so even if for some crazy reason you decide to go alone like me, you should also come prepared. If you're ever thinking about searching for werewolves, this is what I brought:
- flashlight
- Good shoes, like sneakers or boots with really good tread
- Something silver (werewolves are weak to silver)
- A granola bar (hiking is a lot of work!!)
- Camera and a few extra batteries
- First aid kit with band aids, neosporin, cotton balls, a rag, ice/heat pack, and Hydrogen peroxide
- Tent (if you're camping out like me)
To be honest... I'm not really sure where werewolves would go, but I figured it would be the woods since regular wolves are in the woods, and maybe werewolves would hunt there too? I got there a half hour before the park closed, so it didn’t look suspicious.
At first it was pretty boring, so I decided to write some of my novel. It was a little chilly, but I'm glad that where I live we don't get snow! Anyways... over the next few hours I saw some animals but nothing much. And then... well, I think I accidentally fell asleep, because the next thing I remember, there was something SHAKING me!
I woke up, and... there was nothing there... and then I heard howling... and decided to follow the noise. But, as luck would have it, I think I got a little lost. I did eventually find my way out, though (a really good tread on your shoes is good for getting lost, too, I discovered).
Unfortunately, I didn't see any werewolves because of getting lost. My dad wasn't too happy about me sneaking out, and especially that late... I took the day off from work today because of being so tired. Lesson learned for today: not every monster hunt is gonna end up a success, and that's OK.
(...BUT if you guys know where to find werewolves in the area though... please let me know!)
